Hayden’s Ferry Arts and Craft Fair 1981 Tempe, AZ

The year was 1981, Mr. M. Kameron Hawkins “Kameron” was enjoying his senior year at Tempe High School in Tempe, AZ. Now what?

Kameron was so busy making things happen, that was his life and it’s never changed.

Mr. Hawkins said “It was so many things that happen or where happening in my younger years, that were going on that all came together in assisting me in myself infusions to manhood.”

Mr. Hawkins goes on saying. “I have always looked at life as more of an infusion to enhance your mind, body and soul on this adventure we soon are living… known as Life…”

Tempe Historical Society, Cub Scouts of America and The Boys Club on 715 W. 5th St. [See Map] Tempe, AZ 85281 now known at the Ladmo Branch – Tempe (The 1st branch of the Boys Clubs in the greater Phoenix area the same year Mr. M. Kameron Hawkins was born 1963.) It was meant to be.

It was the summer of 1970 and the Hawkins Family moved from Anaheim, CA to Tempe, AZ and Kameron was being enrolled in to 3rd grade at Scales Elementary School Tempe, AZ now know as Scales Technology Academy. Then he asked his mother and father if he could join as a volunteer with the Tempe Historical Society so he could learn more about Tempe, AZ his new community and home. So, came some more hard love. His parents told him to visit with the Tempe Historical Society face-to-face and see if they even would like for you to be associated with them. Then one weekend when Kameron was to stay home that Saturday and do the lawnwork. It started to happen. According to Mr. Hawkins “Kameron” he just came back from the local Rollins Family Market on 5th Street with eggs etc… and helped out setup breakfast. Then Mr. Hawkins Sr. said are you staying home today and working of the yard or coming with me to visit a new jobsite? (His father had a construction company.) Then his mother jumped in and said no, Kameron is working later today at Tempe Stables with some of the other kids in the neighborhood and the BBQ will starting around dusk. So, his is staying put here today. Kameron didn’t want to add more fuel to the fire yet and when everyone was enjoying breakfast, he said.
